Why? Experience. Now, think back to your very first drive \u2014 it probably wasn\u2019t that smooth. The same goes for washing a car: it may not be perfect the first time, but after a few washes, every step will become second nature.<\/p>\n<p>Feeling uncertain before your first visit to a self-service car wash is perfectly normal. These concerns typically fall into two categories: one \u2014 fear of looking awkward in front of others; two \u2014 fear of damaging the car\u2019s paint. The first concern? Not worth stressing over \u2014 most people around you are just regular folks, not critics. The second? It actually takes some effort to do real harm, so don&#8217;t worry. Be confident and drive into the bay!<\/p>\n<p>Once your vehicle is parked, take a moment to familiarize yourself with the setup. Standard time: about 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t skip the wax coating step. A thin layer of wax helps protect the paint from minor abrasions. Drying is also important \u2014 the final rinse with demineralized water prevents water spots and promotes faster drying.
